The name of Mufti Hanif Qureshi, Shabab-e-Islami founder and Ahle Sunnat Waljammat religious scholar, was among the top trends on X, formally Twitter, as his supporters were claiming victory against another religious scholar and YouTube sensation Muhammad Ali Mirza.

For months, the two religious leaders have been engaging in indirect indulgence on the video-sharing website YouTube, where they have publicly challenged one another to a debate over topics concerning sects and different facets of Islam.
Religious experts use YouTube as a new "battlefield," posting videos disparaging one another on various subjects in an attempt to win over fans who will like, share, and leave comments on their works.
With his films challenging his peers, Muhammad Ali Mirza, who has millions of followers on social media and a strong online presence, started a trend. In one of these videos, Mirza called for a "debate" with Hanif Qureshi.
It is important to remember that the term "debate" is broad, and in this particular theological dispute, all sides concur on several aspects regarding the benefits and drawbacks of the engagement's framework.
Following the most recent challenge, Mufti Qureshi traveled to Jhelum City with his supporters close to the Muhammad Ali Mirza Academy and generated buzz about the impending challenge on social media.
However, the Jhelum district police officer and a police unit prevented him from going any farther in the direction of the academy. Along with Qureshi and his supporters, the DPO also filmed a video in which they claimed that the Mirza Academy staff had informed the police that there would be no debate and that any competition would take place online or via YouTube videos.
In front of the Jhelum DPO, Mufti Qureshi made grave accusations against Muhammad Ali Mirza and said that he had won the "debate," claiming that the latter had fled. Then, Mufti Hanif Qureshi's YouTube account released a second video, in which he is greeted with rose petals when he arrives at his seminary in Rawalpindi and is heard shouting winning phrases during a fictitious dispute.

Famous religious scholar Mufti Tariq Masood also traveled to Jhelum in 2021 in order to dispute Engineer Mirza. He "waited" for two days, but Mirza's academy did not get in touch with him. Both sides resolved and addressed the "dispute" on a number of podcasts and platforms.

He began working for the government as an engineer and is qualified, but he claims he retired early. Engineer Mirza has 2.58 million subscribers on YouTube and 2,100 videos, whereas Mufti Hanif Qureshi has 185,000 subscribers and 1,700 videos on his channel.
In Rawalpindi, Mufti is employed by "Jamia Rizwia Ziaul Uloom."
Both have engaged in debates before; the previous one was between a group of religious scholars from various sects on a private television news channel.
